The next event on the horizon is the annual Dashain Party. This year's party will be held on October 18th at Multnomah Arts Center. Please join us for a fun evening of delicious food, cultural program and music.

• Even though there is inflation, NAO has decided to keep the ticket rates the same as last year. On top it, starting this year, to encourage early confirmation, there will also be a $2.00 EARLY BIRD discount per head for those who confirm their participation by payment before Sep 27th, 2008.
  
  
• As per advise from our advisory committee and discussion with some of our respective community members, NAO is discontinuing individual phone calls to confirm participation for the event. The General Secretary of NAO will send an official e-mail to each individual about the event. NAO have always requested to each and every one to update their contact address. If you need to update your email address, please do so with any of the executive members so NAO can contact you by personal e-mail.



• To subsidize those individual & families who are unable to afford our Dashain party rates
  (specially our Bhutanese families who are under government support), NAO is trying to raise money by showing pictures or video clips of family or business greetings and business advertisements. We will accept any donation on the top of it to help the Bhutanese families and keep separate account for this purpose.

From the experience of the past events, we are forced to apply some new procedure to minimize the bitter experience at the moment. Like last time, we are no longer accepting verbal RSVP confirmation with the "will pay at the door". RSVP with payment will be closed at 11:59 PM on Saturday, Oct 11th of 2008. PayPal will also closed at the same time. Please make your payment if you haven't done so. If you have verbally confirmed but not paid, we will need to cancel your confirmation and we will only order food for the ones that have paid before the deadline of October 11th.
