NAO has selected the following three schools in Nepal for Nepal schools support micro-project 2020:
- Shree Ratna Rajya Laxmi Secondary School, Gaindakot-10, Pitauji, Nawalparasi —– Library Enhancement Project— $2,500.00
- Secondary School Ganganagar, Bharatpur Metropolitian -13, Ganganagar, Chitwan— Library Renovation Project — $2,000.00
- Indrayani Basic School (Disabled student school), Devdhoka, Kirtipur-2, Kathmandu — Disabled Friendly Toilet Construction — $2,000.00
In order to make this program success this year, NAO community members Ms. Gita Bhattarai/Dr. Mahesh Dangal, MD donated $5,000.00 for this program. Similarly, Nepali engineers who are working at Intel in Hillsboro contributed $1,060.00 to this project under the Intel Volunteer match program. NAO funded $440.00 from its own Education Fund to match the budget.
NAO started Nepal school support annual program back in 2018. Six schools received this fund in 2018 ($7,197), seven school received this fund in 2019 ($15,645), and this year three schools ($6,500). NAO is proud to support total of sixteen school micro-projects within last three years with total support amount $29,342. (August, 2020)
